it can be, but it can also be a warning sign of a prostate infection or prostate cancer. some men can pass blood in the ejaculate from something called homeostasis (something along those lines) in my case it was a prostate infection. in my case it happened once, and then i got pain at the tip of my penis about a week later and i began getting blood every time, along with some pain. he really needs to get checked just to make sure. prostate cancer is to men what breast cancer is to women, and the statistics are about the same on each.
