I have been prescribed, -Cipralex-(Escitalopram) for -Pre-mature Ejaculation, by my Urologist.
Is it effective??
I know that it is an anti-depressent. Does it have any side effects. I am with a normal state of mind.

SSRI-type antidepressants are often prescribed for premature ejaculation due to a very common side-effect, delayed orgasm or even anorgasmia (inability to ejaculate). You are unlikely to experience severe side effects on the small doses prescribed for PE, although some teeth grinding or mild insomnia are possible. The medication might take 10-14 days to start working. Most people find that once they can control their ejaculation whilst taking an antidepressant, they retain good control when they stop taking the medicine. You should also try to strengthen your PC muscle, as this will help to give you ejaculatory control.
