Watery, thin ejaculation and low sperm count? -
my boyfriend has always had very thin and watery ejaculation..could this have anything to do with a low sperm count? could this mean he-s infertile?
There are many factors that influence the consistency of semen - including diet (and dehydration), temperature and physical activity. Thick or watery - consistency in no way indicative of fertility.
A number of other fluids from the the prostate gland, the Cowper-s glands and the seminal vesicles are combined with the sperm prior to ejaculation.. Some secretions are designed to neutralize acids (such as urine traces in the urethra), others provide vital enzymes.
The finished product contains approximately just 10% sperm. The rest consists of enzymes, vitamin C, calcium, protein, sodium, zinc, citric acid and fructose sugar.
Semen is made up of a lot of things: sperm, water, proteins, body fluids. So the fact that his semen is -watery- does not indicate sperm count.
does he masturbate regularly? if so, ask him to stop. see the sperm after a week or so.. u will find the difference.
