I should stress this is only my theory, but never come across a proper medical explanation.

If you imagine inside your penis are 3 structures which are packed with nerves and blood vessels and when you want an errection it-s these which fill up with blood. Down the middle of this (in a sense) is your urethra.

When ejaculation happens, there is a very large amount of pressure in the urethra which expands it and forces it to push against the other areas, thus pressing on various nerves which the brain translates as the orgasm we feel.

You can get the same effect by waiting to go to the loo and then peeing a large amount. It-s not quite as intense, but guys often report a pleasurable effect.

This can-t be the only factor involved of course as orgasms differ in size, but the errect state of the penis and thus the amount of room for the urethra to expand certainly appears to have a significiant impact on the orgasm.

Btw, can I claim copyright if this is published in the Lancet? :)

Dr. Trev (ok, maybe not)

It-s because your largest sex organ is your brain.
There really isn-t any medical reason why this happens. Guys just feel the most immense pleasure at orgasm, and that-s just the way it is. Perhaps is has biological reasons though, like sex feels so good, you want to do it again, and this is cause for you to go out and perpetuate the human race.
Try some foreplay first!
