He has perfect health, has not ever had a groin injury and it is not mental... He had an open ended vasectomy .. This pain has only happened once before, about 3 months prior??? please help
There is such a thing as post vasectomy pain syndrome. It covers a lot of reasons after vasectomy men have pain. Some men have pain after vasectomy because nerves or blood vessels were destroyed at the time of vasectomy. Some have pain because of built up scar tissue in that area...that-s called -entrapment-. Some have pain because sperm is not reabsorbed at a high enough rate post vasectomy...this causes epididimytis and blow outs...basically the sperm gets so tight in the tiny tubules at the back of the testicle that it balloons out and breaks though the tissue. When sperm release this way, it often forms a sperm granuloma. A sperm granuloma is a cyst caused because sperm is seen as a foreign body in the man-s system and antibodies are produced after vasectomy and the body has therefore an autoimmune response to sperm. This cyst can be painful.
The first three sources listed below tell about PVPS. The fourth source explains sperm granulomas.
Exactly what does this have to do with his vasectomy? I bet there is no connection.
I had a vasectomy over 21 years ago. Many of my friends have. Nobody has pain.
