How much on average does sperm deplete per ejaculation? -

What I mean by this is, if youre having sex and you ejaculate, there is a certain amount of sperm that comes out. If you have sex 2,3,4,etc more times in a few hours and ejaculate each time how much sperm are you losing each go round. Ex. Round 1, you ejaculate 200million, Round 2, you ejaculate 120million, Round 3 so on so forth. I wuld like real answers please. I dont want hear someone say, -You ejaculate the same amount of sperm each time- and not have the facts to back it up.
Sperm are produced continuously and travel constantly through the ducts until they get to the ampullae (reservoirs) of the vasa deferentia just behind the bladder and prostate gland where they are stored ready for ejaculation. Just before and during ejaculation, these ampullae contract and pump part (but not all) of their content into the semen along with that produced by the prostate and seminal vesicles, which have also been continuously producing and storing their part of the semen (which is actually the vast majority - the sperm are about 1% or less).

The sperm count is expressed as two things; how *much* semen is ejaculated - a few ml (millilitres - generally quoted for semenalysis as two to five) - and how many million sperm are contained in each millilitre - something of the order of a hundred million per ml.

Now the instructions given for performing a sperm count are that there should be no ejaculation - masturbation or intercourse - for three days before collection (which is by masturbation) in order to ensure that the ampullae - the sperm reservoirs - had time to -fill up- first. Think of it like your toilet cistern - if you push the button before it has had enough time to fill up from the last flush (particularly if you have turned the feed tap down so it doesn-t make so much noise!), you will not get as much water; if you were to keep doing this, you would get only a small amount each time.

On the other hand, the *other* parts of the semen need time to replenish as well; just about all guys who have learned to masturbate sooner or later try and see how often they can do it in a short time, such as an hour or a day, and discover that the second ejaculation is much less than the first, and the third is much less again. However the semen is replenished faster than the sperm, so if a guy masturbates say, daily, then he will probably have a sperm count (per ml) less than half than if he did so every three days, twice a day it would be down to perhaps one quarter and so on.

Of course, a normal sperm count varies over a range of at least six times anyway, so he will still be perfectly normal, and it is virtually impossible to have intercourse so often that the count is too low for fertility - in case anyone should try that!

General observation on the *quantity* is as others have pointed out - the second ejaculation within a couple of hours is about a third as much as the first, and the third, less than half of that again. You can of course confirm this for yourself.
Well, it really is irrelevant unless you are trying to make a baby. But depends on how well you recover and your reserve- you make 200,000 sperm per minute, they take 60-70 days to mature, so you should have a ready supply for 3 or 4 decent loads in one day. Tomorrow you will have the same, and so on since the supply is continuous and the maturation of viable sperm is also continuous. Also depends on spacing of the ejaculation-- a morning ejac, a nooner and one at bedtime will probably still have about the same amount of sperm. But again, unless you are trying to fertilize an egg, makes no real difference. Sure doesn-t make any difference in semen volume, since sperm only makes up 2 to 5 % of the volume.
The numbers can vary by a lot. I think very few people (scientists) would have detailed info on this.

Supposedly there-s around 50 million sperm cells per milliliter on average, and the average ejaculation is 4ml, so that would be 200 million. I have no idea how much the number decreases on -round 2- or -round 3- but in my experience the volume does not decrease all that much.

If I had to make up some numbers I would guess 200 million, 175 million, 150 million or something.

Supposedly the numbers vary a lot. Some men have a higher concentration of sperm cells per ml, and some have a very low sperm count. Some men ejaculate a larger amount, some don-t.
Also as the sperm amount reduces, so does the semenial fluid.
The average man produces about a teaspoon of semenial fluid which can contain up to millions.
