This is a phenomenon that occurs in a certain percentage of the female population, either with orgasm or sometimes before orgasm. It is largely believed to be genetic, because some women do it, but most don-t, and a person who doesn-t isn-t going to suddenly change. The frequency that it occurs in each female varies greatly, sometimes only with a specific form of stimulation.
It is a common misconception that the fluid emitted is urine, when in fact it is simply a secretion of the Bartholin-s glands and/or Skene-s glands (similar to normal natural lubrication).
Originally, many women felt ashamed about this occurring, but it is not indicative of anything wrong. It-s even become a sort of -fad- in pornography, though often those depictions are faked or the woman is actually urinating after drinking lots of water in an attempt to mimic the effect.
